Michelin has awarded 23 restaurants in Portugal, with two new entries. In total, in 2018 there are 18 restaurants awarded one star and 5 that are at the two-star level.
The new stars belong to Gusto, chef Heinz Beck’s restaurant in Algarve, and Vista, chef João Oliveira’s restaurant, also in Algarve.
Five of Lisbon’s restaurants still hold their Michelin stars. The two restaurants in Porto and the other two in Funchal have all retained their stars. Overall, the Algarve continues to be the region of Portugal with the highest concentration of awarded restaurants.
