Berardo Museum is devoted to contemporary and modern art in the form of paintings and installations.
It offers insights into the world of abstract, surrealist and pop art by artists who built the art history of the last century.
The Berardo Collection
Acquired by the wealthy Madeiran Joe Berardo, the outstanding art collection is spread across three floors. It includes works by Marcel Duchamp, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, and Helena Almeida.
The museum is located in the modern CCB (Centro Cultural de Belém), near Jerónimos Monastery, across the River Tejo. In the complex, there is a café and restaurant that faces the river, a bookshop and a museum store.
Admission is free on Saturday all day.
