Since 2007, NOS Alive has hosted some of the biggest names in the world of music, including two rock legends, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, in 2008.
For 2016, NOS Alive won’t disappoint festival-goers with Radiohead announced as headliner alongside Arcade Fire and the Pixies. No other festival can at the moment boast such huge headliners. The festival great location near Lisbon’s main attractions, together with cheap ticket prices, are two more reasons why NOS Alive is one of the best options for festival-goers this year.
The festival’s first day, 7 July, will feature The Pixies, alongside the Chemical Brothers, Robert Plant, the 1975, Wolf Alice, John Grant and Vintage Trouble.
On 8 July, it will be Radiohead’s first live performance after four years away from the stages. Thom Yorke and Ed O’Brien’s band will play alongside Tame Impala, Foals, Years & Years, Hot Chip, Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett, Two Door Cinema Club, Jagwar Ma and Carlão.
Arcade Fire will perform on 9 July in what will be one of the band’s two only European festival appearances. Arcade Fire have announced that it will be “a unique and unrepeatable concert that will review their greatest hits, including those from their latest album, Reflektor“. The band will play on the same day as M83, José González, the recently confirmed Grimes, who will bring to NOS Alive’16 her latest Art Angeles, elected best album of 2015 by the British music magazine NME, Ratatat and Calexico.
There’s no camping option inside the precinct, but camping is available nearby at Lisbon Camping & Bungalows, 3 nights from 17€.
