TAP Portugal will be launching daily nonstop flights between New York JFK and Lisbon, and between Boston and Lisbon, as of June 2016.
The transatlantic nonstop flights between Boston Logan Airport and Lisbon Airport will take 6h30 eastbound and 7h30 westbound.
Here’s the schedule as of 11 June for the new nonstop flights connecting these two cities:
- Boston to Lisbon departing 7.45pm arriving 7.20pm
- Lisbon to Boston departing 2.25pm arriving 5pm
With approximately the same duration, TAP will also be launching nonstop flights between New York JFK and Lisbon as of 11 July, with the following schedule:
- New York to Lisbon departing 11.30pm arriving 11.30am (+1day)
- Lisbon to New York departing 5pm arriving 8pm
This will be complemented during the summer by an increase in the number of existing flights to US destinations, such as Miami and Newark.
With the nonstop flights, TAP will be offering a total of 30 weekly flights between US cities and Lisbon. The company will also partner with JetBlue, owned by David Neeleman, co-owner of TAP, thereby offering connections to other US destinations.
