Which Canadian Cities Have Direct Flights to Lisbon

The fastest way to get to Lisbon is to fly nonstop from Canadian cities.

From Toronto, TAP Portugal is most likely your best option. Portugal’s flag carrier has direct flights year round from this Canadian city to Lisbon. If you travel during the summer, Air Canada and Air Transat offer seasonal nonstop flights from both Montreal and Toronto to the Portuguese capital.

Here are the airlines that fly direct to Lisbon, as well as the Canadian cities they fly from.

Toronto to Lisbon

TAP Portugal offers five weekly nonstop flights from Toronto Pearson International to Lisbon Airport, starting at CAD 700 return.

Air Transat offers direct flights from Toronto to Lisbon one or two days a week during the winter, which become daily in the summer.

Air Canada has a seasonal service operated by Air Canada Rouge to Lisbon and Porto, Portugal’s second city. The service includes three weekly flights between Toronto and Lisbon, and four weekly flights between Toronto and Porto. Flights are available from mid June to late October.

Azores Airlines (previously known as SATA) flies twice a week to Lisbon with one stop in Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

Flight time is between seven and eight hours. When searching for cheap airfares, try Tuesday as opposed to Sunday when fares are likely to be more expensive.

Montreal to Lisbon

Air Transat has direct flights from Montreal to Lisbon one or two days a week in winter, becoming more frequent during the summer. Flight time is 6 hours and 30 minutes, and approximately 8 hours from Lisbon to Montreal.

Air Canada has a nonstop seasonal service between Montreal-Trudeau International Airport and Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, with three flights per week (Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday) from mid June to late October,

TAP Portugal has announced Montreal as one of the new destinations for 2020, alongside three other US cities (Atlanta, Houston, and Los Angeles), as part of the strategy to increase the carrier presence in North America.

Vancouver to Lisbon

There are no direct flights between Vancouver and Lisbon. Flights operated by Air Transat make one stop in Montreal.
